The
Pillars were a soccer team of Newry/Bessbrook some sixty years ago. Sadly the majority here have passed on. But still very much alive and the donor of
the photograph, is Dickie Rodgers, third from the left at the back.
The
Captain was my old friend Adrian (Aidan) D’Arcy. Brenda, his widow still lives out in The
Gardens, Bessbrook.
I’m
sure you can recognise many more faces and names. In case you cannot read the caption under the
photograph, I reproduce here their names....
