We're endebted to our friend Irene Saunders who posted this poem on Guestbook.  Just thought it deserved upgrading to Frontpage!

Thoughts go home unbidden

When we're somewhere far away .........

Thoughts need no compelling

Off they wander, night or day

To seek the places and the faces

Dear unto the heart

The spot where all our journeys end

Roads end, roads start.

Thoughts go back: they know the way

They need no goad or guide

To cross the hills and the rivers

And the spaces that divide

And though with friends we may abide

Wherever we may roam

To the place of heart's desire

Thoughts turn....

Love leads them home.
