Steven Agnew, the Green Party candidate at the imminent European Elections is in town today (1.00 pm Warrenpoint centre; and 2.30 Hill Street).  He would be pleased to meet you.

Steven is youthful, idealistic, intelligent, dedicated and patently clean of all those negative characteristics that are driving voters away from all politicians.

He is a recent philosophy graduate from QUB and has since worked for the homeless in Belfast and with the Simon Community in Lisburn.  He is currently Research Officer for our MLA Brian Wilson at Stormont.   He currently sits on Assembly Groups for Children and Young People, Ethnic Minorities and for the blind and partially-sighted.

Steven is working with local traders in Newry to oppose the huge Carnbane Shopping Complex which threatens to make a wasteland of our town centre.  Indeed the Greens are the only party to oppose this, all other parties on our local Council voting in favour.

Steven is wholly committed to all green issues.
