I received as a Christmas gift, the paperback of this work - released last Christmas in hardback - after running on BBC Radio Ulster for months of short programmes.  It is excellent.

It is famously difficult to recount history - and especially Irish history - in an unbiased form, but Bardon achieves this unique distinction.

I know Jonathan personally, and therefore something of his personal political viewpoint.  I defy you to read this and detect any personal opinion!

This book will be my bedside reading for months to come.  At ~ £14 it is not cheap as paperbacks go, but it is well worth every penny.  I urge you to get your own copy!
