There’s no flies on her except they’re paying rent

You won’t catch old birds with straws

A closed mouth misses the flies

It might cut butter if it was hot

Growing down like a cow’s tail

There’s more red noses than midges th’day

He put the saddle on the right horse

Brown boots and no breakfast

His head is not one that saves his legs

Old fools are the worst fools

Between you and me and the post there!

Every man’s a boy till he’s married

And what do they mean?

She is a canny one!
Older prospective brides are more demanding
Whatever you say, say nothing!
The blade needs whetting
Not growing at all
It’s a cold day
He chose his wife wisely
Working from the scrake of dawn
He doesn’t think before he acts
An older man shouldn’t choose a young lover
Confidentially
Nothing matures a man like marriage
