In 1987 Our Ladies School celebrated one hundred years and produced an anniversary booklet. These slides show the school front, and two groups of pupils as well as the staff of that time. Our Ladies has since moved to a magnificant new School on an adjacent site. Hope you recognise some faces!

Fathom Mountain – containing Killeen – out of Newry continues into the Cooley peninsula, famous in legend for the Tain Bo Cuailgne, the Brown Bull of Cooley and Cuchulainn. St John’s Castle is in Carlingford.
The young lady featured here is Katharine Beaven from Kirkwell in Orkney who holidayed here last Summer. The slides include images of the western end of the Ring of Gullion, Sturgan and Camlough Mountains, Mullaghbane and Forkhill, an abandoned nineteenth century homestead and some new house building. The cross is in Lislea cemetery.
The 1956 Shamrocks team is before my time. The later Hurlers included Michael Keenan and Paddy Ward. I’m sure you spotted many more familiar faces! Who are these other young Celtic players? Railway Avenue with pigs is included, and Kilmorey Street by night.
