Rowan Hand’s Radio Show

The early birds among you may have heard your editor being interviewed on Rowan Hand’s Radio Show at 9.05 this Saturday morning.

The object of the exercise was to afford publicity for our current Reminiscence Writing Competition.

Of course, with two chatterboxes together, we talked of many things – shared friends,  and a little of Journal – but before I knew it, I had been replaced by another radio guest, Father Tom who was speaking of Newry’s school in Africa – and the result was that ….

the Competition was never mentioned.

‘”I want to move on now to a different topic …”  my host began …

and I was dismissed preemptorarily.

So!  Let me repeat it again:

Our competition is to find the best Reminiscence Stories from Newry (& District) of thirty years ago and more!
