First, the date and venue have been confirmed as Friday 22 February in the Miller Suite of the Canal Court Hotel. Tickets (yet to be printed) will be sold on a first come-first served basis, but probably after Christmas.
Second, we are attempting to have a Reunion Magazine published – possibly before Christmas – and we will need YOU to support this – our first venture into the field – with subscriptions.
Also, if you have photos and/or stories for inclusion, email them urgently to Editor at Newry Journal – before 30th September, if they’re to have any hope of inclusion in our Magazine.
Third, bring all your old Meadow photos to Vera (O’Hare) McMahon, c/o Kieran Rafferty Solicitors on Hill Street for copying AND RETURN within 24 hours. If we get a good/fair response to this appeal, we will offer in return, not just your own photos returned promptly – of course! – but a CD or computer file containing ALL the old photos we received from everyone!
Much more later.
We will continue with reminiscences from the Meadow streets – tomorrow, Derrybeg Drive!
